Sydney Christmas Guide › Sydney Christmas Activities 2026
The Taronga Zoo Sydney Christmas Concert puts on a festive show on the Concert Lawns, with Sydney Harbour as the backdrop. Matty J hosts, The Mik Maks play with Drums the Panda, the Australian Girls Choir sings Christmas harmonies, and Santa and his elves drop in during the evening.
Your ticket includes zoo entry for the afternoon, so explore first, exit by 5pm, then come back from 6pm for the concert. It's the rare show where the warm-up act is a whole zoo. The lawns are an unreserved picnic area, so bring your own setup or add a Chillazy Chair ($40) or picnic rug ($30), collected from the right-hand side of the stage.
Tickets are $45 for adults and $36 for kids aged 4 to 15, and children 3 and under are free. Zoo Friends get 20% off. The Bakehouse Bar and Saltwater Takeaway sell food and drinks all evening, or pre-order a hamper for two ($95), with a plant-based gluten-free option.
